The next chapter in Firefly Studios' real-time strategy series, Stronghold: Warlords is the first game to recreate the castle economies of East Asia.
The general is the spiritual successor of the sergeant-at-arms from Stronghold Crusader 2. Kaufen Stronghold: Warlords pro Steam und sofort herunterladen. Caught alone, the general is prone to be overcome by surrounding units, even if he can inflict a few casualties before succumbing to enemy superiority. Hiring him can put a burden in the player's coffers and take away resources from recruiting other troops for a time. There are few weaknesses for the general, however he does not see play until later in the game. Although the general can be also used to increase the damage of stationary defending units, it is generally ill-advised to do so due to his abnormally high cost. He tends to pair well with heavy armoured units, such as a combination of warriors and imperial crossbowmen, who march at roughly the same speed as him. Given his special ability, the general is best used in concentrated army groups, where his effect can be maximized to its fullest. His sword easily cuts through light units, and severely damages armored units over time. The general boasts however both large health and melee damage, capable of trumping the heaviest units in a one-on-one combat. He is a slow-moving unit, moving at an even lower speed than imperial warriors.
This is justified by his utility and combat skills he brings to the table.
The general is easily the most expensive unit, requiring several hundred gold to hire. The general is trained at the military academy. When deployed, he can motivate friendly troops in a large area around him, boosting their attack power.
